UFC 248 Fight Card: Adesanya vs. Romero

UFC 248 Fight Card: Adesanya vs. Romero

UFC 248 goes down on March 7 and will be headlined by a UFC middleweight title fight between Adesanya vs Romero. Israel Adesanya comes into the UFC 248 fight card looking to defend his title for the second time. Prior to UFC 248 Adesanya defeated Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 to unify the UFC middleweight title. Yoel Romero has lost two of his last three bouts but will compete for the 185-pounds strap for the third time if he makes weight on Friday. Adesanya vs Romero will headline the UFC 248 fight card, but there are plenty more fights on UFC 248 that capture the eye.

What to expect from the UFC 248?

The UFC 248 fight card will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC 248 features 13 bouts with the final two fights, Adesanya vs Romero, and Jendrzejczyk vs Weili scheduled to go five championship rounds. The event will begin at 11:15 pm UK time on March 7 with the early prelim bouts on UFC Fight Pass. It will then continue on BT Sport at 1 am with Sean O’Malley vs Jose Quinonez headlining that portion of the card. The main card portion of this event will then begin at 3:00 am UK time on BT Sport. Adesanya vs Romero is expected to start at around 5 am UK time.

Predictions for Adesanya vs. Romero [Betting]

Many questioned whether Yoel Romero truly deserved a title shot when the Adesanya vs Romero main event was announced. Still, the odds show he is clearly a worthy competitor. The breaking odds for UFC 248 had Romero as a 2/1 underdog to win the fight, whilst Adesanya was the 38/100 favourite. The lines for the UFC 248 fight card will move throughout the week. Still, at this point in time, Adesanya vs Romero sees the champion favourite to retain his title.

Who will win the UFC 248 main event between Adesanya vs Romero? It’s a hard one to pick, but many will be expecting Adesanya to be dominant on the feet, whilst if Romero uses his wrestling to take it to the mat, it could be a long night for the champion. Both men have good finishing rates with Romero finishing 11 of his 13 bouts inside the distance. Adesanya also has 14 finishes in 18 bouts.

Neither man has a win via submission, so betting on a finish inside the distance via KO or TKO could be worth a look at. The odds on the fight not going the distance at UFC 248 is 4/11, which could be a solid bet to make. That is if you are undecided who might go on to win the Adesanya vs Romero main event. The UFC 248 headliner is a difficult fight to pick, but our Ohmbet editor is going to side with the champion getting his hand raised.

Editors Pick: Israel Adesanya to defeat Yoel Romero – 38/100
