While Israel Adesanya reached huge success last year, former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker found himself on the wrong end of a KO in a bout for the title. That loss put an end to his reign as middleweight king and was a huge setback.
Now Whittaker has been booked against dangerous divisional dark horse Jared Cannonier. Whittaker enters the bout at 3/4, while Cannonier comes in as a slight underdog in comparison at 21/20. Cannonier has blazed a trail through the middleweight ranks, winning three straight fights via T/KO. Whittaker's loss to Adesanya snapped a nine fight winning streak, including two wins over Yoel Romero.

Top talents battle it out at UFC Auckland
Australian prospect Jake Matthews comes in at 2/5 in his February 23rd bout with Norwegian bruiser Emil Weber Meek, who stands at 19/10. Matthews is heralded as one of the hottest prospects out of the Oceanic region, but Meek is a battle tested, hard-hitting fighter.
Light heavyweights Michal Oleksiejczuk and Jimmy Crute will duke it out at the same event in Auckland, New Zealand. The former comes in at 13/20 versus the local favourite who enters with 6/5 in odds. Crute will try to bounce back from his first pro loss, which occurred against Misha Cirkunov, while Oleksiejczuk most recently lost to Ovince Saint Preux.
Chinese talent Xiaonan Yan comes in as a moderate favourite with ½ odds over former title contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz at 6/4. However Kowalkiewicz has lost three straight bouts and is in dire need of a win.
Middleweights Ronaldo ”Jacare” Souza and Uriah Hall will collide at UFC 249, April 18th. The submission artist Souza who, on paper, has more ways to win, comes in as a slight favourite with 13/20 odds against the knockout artist Hall with 6/5 odds that will earn you about twice your wager if he pulls off a win.
